Matilda is a stern woman. Taken in my the temple as an initiate at a young age, she was grateful for the roof. She knows how to do her duty and understands it is an honourable thing to do. She thanks Jova for serenity and does not question her place. She lived a hard life, despite that she thanked Jova for the trials. Even when she was arrested for losing the temple funds, she worried more about failing Jova than she did about her own situation. Once denied Jova's Serenity, prison became a grueling hardship. One where all her previous mistakes came to haunt her. Of all the inmates in her block, she took imprisonment the hardest.
