The Cleric

Clarence is a small time pastor that has spent much of his life aiding the less fortunate. Dispite the beauty and prosperity of Jova's cradle he can see the underbelly. The people struggling with the demands of such an orderly world, and he does what he can to aid them. Though he struggle due to it as well, he is able to perservere due to Jovas serenity. Over the years he has been fined due to assisting less savory individuals and his chantry finally had enough. He was removed from his position and sent to the streets. He didn't even make it to a hostile when he saw a young child running away from the guard, water running  from their eyes streaking the dirt stained face. Clarence had never seen such a sight, and it hurt his heart. He had witnessed thoughs struggling after the loss of Jovas serenity and guiding them back through prayer. But the raw fear and sadness overcome the bless he so valently maintained over the years. He immediately rushed to the childs aid and threw himself at the guards. Clarence had alway been a well built man, with a hardy endurance, but he was no fighter. It was the best he could do to let the child run on and hold up the 2 guards. He was arrested on the spot and with no funds or job he was put in holding, but the child had escaped. Clarence felt for the first time not contentment in aiding that he had in the past, but happiness over having saved someone.
